My CaReLeSs WhIsPeR-Think UNIT TRUST, Think Agnes

Not a very good year. Well, can it be a good year when I’ve lost a good fren? No.
It has been about half a year now, sometimes it feels like you’re still around...somewhere. We can feel your presence, somehow. May you be happy, wherever you are...pls be.

Work
The year didn’t start off too well. Was involved in a work assignment where 2 of my group members sort of ‘personal-attacked’ me. I dun care now, coz that showed me their true colors and it was a good lesson afterall, wasn’t it? One of them is fine with me now, we’re still working together in the same dept, she needs my help with certain things and vice versa. Sometimes we’d still share some personal stories but of coz not every single thing I’d tell. The other one was history. I told her that both of us could be in the wrong, so why not juz wipe it off and give the friendship a second survival chance? Well..i guess she can never swallow the fact that she was also in the wrong, her silence to me was a NO. Fine. Now I dun feel any bad about it anymore :) I shall walk away a winner, not a loser ultimately.

COO resigned in March. Was very upset. Missed it? Go to my 2007 archive and you’ll read a whole lot more there. After he left the company, the special position he created for me went down the drain as well. (juz to share, we are still friends now, good and yet better having a friend this way than in the workplace) In May, I got into Employee Relations (ER) section instead. This section deals with labour laws, industrial relations matters, resignation, investigation etc. I find it a very challenging HR scope. Exit interviews are kinda cool. I get to know more frens, more insider info, more insights during the sessions. Can you believe I even had people asking for my number too. Hahaha..funny!

I got an offer from another company. I dun think I have mentioned this before. Some of you ppl already know which one. Quite disappointed that they withdrew the offer without informing me (becoz of I was ‘late’), but then I was very glad that I had the offer, as it proved my employability and my value to the HR market already. Good to know. At least.

Work is good recently. I dun dread going to work, and I’m laufing everyday at work.

Friends
Oh this is interesting. There are 2 new frens that I have made this year and they are 2 of the best things in my life so far. My best frens are still with me going thru the ups and downs, so thanks again.

Some frens changed, I think it’s normal. People changed. They forgot what is important and what’s not ; what is real and what’s not. It’s like their sights got blurred by smth. I dun have any right to do anything about it. Even if I can, will people appreciate your good intentions? I can tell you from experiences, no. So in the end, why say?

Referring to my last 2 entry “Reason, Season and Lifetime”, it actually help explained a lil bit of the story. Sometimes they din really leave, its juz that they are sort of ‘taking a break’. I alwiz think that to maintain a good friendship both parties play a part. It takes two to tango, you see. You cant expect me to be the one initiating chats everytime, sms first all the time, etc. Unfortunately, I get tired too. I would feel that if you care the same way, you’d beep my phone too by dropping me a simple ‘Hi’. It’d be enuf to make me happy. I’m still trying hard to understand what it means by ‘busy’. Maybe I’m not busy enuf to understand busy. Then again, I wonder if taking out a minute to forward an sms is very demanding..hmm. Conclusion? In Chinese they say ‘juz see you got heart or not only” True?

I will be especially sad when I truly cherish smth, tried my best to keep it, but it didn’t turn out to be the way I hope it’d be. You might tell me, that’s life. Well, sadly I’ll have to agree.

Holiday Trip
Been to Bukit Tinggi. I’m hoping to explore oversea in year 2008. Cross finger.
I know KL people are not so ‘ghairah ‘ about eye on msia, as I was told, haha.

Cubic Activities
I learned ballroom dance organized by Cubic Sports and Recreation for about 3 months. Not gonna continue as they had to close the class due to poor participation from staff. Hmm actually I am also slowing losing my passion for it haha, it’s not easy to remember all the steps man. I guess it’d take a hell lot of practice to remember. Too bad I dun really practice ;p

BUT if you have been nice to me, I’d even let you take my spot under the umbrella and I dun mind a single bit to stand in the rain instead”

Mentioned already that it was embarrassing. So dun ask haha. But I never regret it, coz I din fake myself and I was being real. It’s just the helpless me :)

These are some of the highlights of 2007. With a sense of regret, I have to say that I must filter many times before I typed something, thinking if this and that are appropriate to put in blog and if they are necessary for sharing...hehe. Not all.
